Sustainability
Local wood, less waste, lower carbon.
We believe firewood should work with the landscape, not against it. That’s why everything we produce is sourced from responsible local arborist work and woodland management. Never imports, never farmed timber, and never trees felled just for logs. It’s the simplest, cleanest way to keep homes warm while protecting the woodland around us.
Our Commitment to Sustainable Firewood
-
We only collect and process local wood, so our logs do not travel far. No overseas shipping and no long distance trucking. Just local wood for local fires.
-
Sustainable arborist work and woodland management help local habitats thrive. Removing fallen, diseased, or overcrowded trees encourages new growth and supports wildlife. By using this byproduct as firewood, we’re closing the loop and keeping the woodland ecosystem in balance.
-
We don’t cut trees down to produce firewood. Every log we sell comes from work that would happen anyway. It’s firewood made from resources that already exist.
-
Our natural blend of hardwood and softwood mirrors how timber grows in our landscapes. Softwood lights quickly and gives instant warmth, whereas hardwood burns slower and longer.
-
Sustainability is at the core of how we operate. As a family-run business, we want to leave our world in better condition than we found it. Choosing local firewood is a small decision with a meaningful impact.
Ready to Burn Certified
Our firewood carries the Ready to Burn certification, which means every log meets strict UK standards for moisture content and clean burning. Certified wood lights more easily, produces more heat, and creates less smoke. This supports better air quality and gives you a more reliable and efficient burn every time.
We only supply properly seasoned firewood that meets these requirements so you can order with confidence, knowing your logs are approved for safe and responsible use.
